Calling On My Immortal Soul

Hello all, how are y’all holding up? This is a beautiful, rain soaked morning out here, and I can feel a lovely breeze across my face as I sit to write this article down. As you would already know these days I have been mostly focusing on harnessing the spiritual side of myself, and whenever I see myself in any kind of trouble I take the time to consider the fact that my reality is that I am a soul and I am immortal.

I say these words to myself, invoke a sense of power and strength from within and feel that I am invincible. You might be wondering that these might be easier said than done but in this day and age it is pretty much important to build yourself with a lot of positivity and compassion so that you can face the world without any kind of problems.

In one of his speeches Swami Vivekananda said that we are the children of God, the sharers of immortal bliss, holy and perfect beings. You see that he calls us “perfect” already? Be honest here and tell me how many times did you seek refuge in others in order to seek validation, and did that last for a prolonged period of time? Perhaps not, I wouldn’t be writing a whole blog about it then (yeah, been through that route).

There are times when I question myself, my ambitions, and even doubt myself, but one thing we have to understand and perhaps train ourselves is that we are our own responsibility, I read somewhere yesterday that it is normal for all of us to hit rock bottom eventually, we just have to know the art of climbing back up. And, I would like to add that we have to master that art, as it is nobody else’s but our responsibility to pick ourselves up, and I am confident that we will.

Swami Vivekananda would also emphasise on building a strong personality and he would often say that the weak have no place here, and if we are really his children then we must have muscles of iron and nerves of steel. You see when you repeat that kind of a phrase — muscle of iron and nerves of steel, you will discover a sudden force of power and glory from the inside.

Not only will you feel good, but would kind of realise that you had this power of decision within you all the time, and that is what you must hold on to now and every time.

As I approach the end of this article, I would like to hope and pray before the Almighty that may he guide us towards the step of perfection, and may we all stay happy, strong and blessed.
